STATEMENT OF FAITH
Each of our speakers live their life in agreement with this Statement of Faith.
All speakers on Northwest Christian Speakers Bureau have signed a statement that they agree with and abide by the following Statement of Faith:
The Bible: We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, to be the inspired word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and women and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (Based on II Peter 1:19)
God: We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, Matt 28:19)
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God who took the form of man for a short time in history to reconcile His creation to God, being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (I John 1, I Cor. 15:3,4; Matt. 24:29-31; II Thess. 1:7,8)
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (II Peter 1:3-4; Romans 8:9)
The Fall of Humanity: We believe that men and women were created in the image of God but fell into sin and are therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)
Salvation: We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe and only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12, Romans 8:29)
Life Style and Sexuality: We believe that those who follow Christ are called to live differently than those who do not. Rather than look to culture or their own selves to inform identity and practices, believers look to the example of Christ, the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and the teachings in the Bible.
Our speakers’ are committed to having lives conformed to the life of Christ and Biblical teachers. Regarding sexuality, we believe sexual expression belongs within the context of marriage, which was intended to be between a man and a woman, and to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. We believe that God knows each person in their mother’s womb and assigns male and female genders at birth, fulfilling each person within that role.
As all of humanity is broken by sin, the Church is called to respond with both compassion and truth to all forms of brokenness, pointing all people to the loving, redemptive work of Jesus. We believe that all people are equally loved and valued by God, and we reject and condemn all forms of hatred, verbal or physical, and victimization towards any group of people. Genesis 1:26-28; 2:24; 5:1-2; Exodus 22:16-17; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Matthew 5:32; 10:34-39; 19:1-12; Mark 3:31-35; 7:9-13; 10:6-11; Romans 7:2-3; 14:12; 1 Corinthians 7:8-40; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; 6:14-15; Philippians 2:6-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; 1 Timothy 1:9-11; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Hebrews 13:4-5; 1 Peter 5:8-9
OUR MISSION
As a non-profit organization with a servant's heart, Northwest Christian Speakers Bureau is committed to providing Christian organizations with qualified speakers who place the Word of God and Jesus Christ at the center of their ministry and lives. In addition, we offer training for mature believers who sense God’s call to a speaking ministry.
OUR VISION
Our hope is that God will use our speakers to challenge others to seek Christ and grow in His love, so that they will, as a result, have a transforming effect on their families, marriages, work places, and communities. We want to light a fire of healing, truth, hunger, and growth.
Our goal is to touch hearts through the power of Christ by being transparent and to build disciples for Christ through messages based on His Word and His ways.
Our vision is to move toward growth in our own lives and to be used by God to serve this growth in others so that we may win our world for Christ with His love.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a Bureau?
Groups can find a speaker through a listing agency, a personal representation agency or a bureau. A bureau offers you the most value. We know each speaker personally, we train our speakers, and we mentor and monitor our speakers. When you inquire, the bureau can recommend several speakers for you to consider because we are not an agency with obligations to promote our speakers, but a team of speakers making ourselves available to serve the Body of Christ.
In contrast, a listing agency accepts speakers (some requiring recommendations) for a list, but they do not personally know their speakers. A personal representation agency represents each speaker individually and charges high fees from their speakers. As a result, their speakers require higher fees. As a non-profit bureau, we can offer top quality speakers at the most reasonable rates.
Speakers’ Fees
Each speaker sets his or her own fees. Fees for speakers range from $150- $800 for a single talk and $400-$1800 for a weekend event, depending on your speaker choice and the number of talks requested. See individual speaker pages for each speaker’s fees. (Tabs at the top for Women Speakers and Men Speakers take you there.) Some of our speakers graciously offer flexible fees to accommodate smaller organizations or special needs. Additional costs to be considered include travel (air fare or 45 cents per mile, if driving) and any housing and meals involved in the event. Please contact us for specific information about costs.
